The Rabbit and the Turtle's Garden

[Reading the Story]
In a sunny meadow at the edge of the forest, there lived a clever Rabbit named Flash and a gentle Turtle named Steady. Both loved to garden, but they had very different ways of doing things.
Flash was naturally gifted at everything he tried. He could plant seeds faster than anyone, spot weeds from far away, and knew exactly which plants would grow best in each spot. "Gardening is so easy!" Flash would boast to the other animals. "I hardly need to try!"
Steady, on the other hand, moved slowly and had to think carefully about each task. But every morning, she would wake up early and tend to her garden patch with loving care. She would water each plant gently, pull weeds one by one, and study how her vegetables were growing.
One spring, the Forest Council announced a special contest. "Whoever grows the most beautiful garden by summer's end will win a golden watering can!" they declared.
Flash laughed confidently. "This will be simple," he said. "I'll plant my seeds and win without breaking a sweat!"
Meanwhile, Steady nodded thoughtfully. "I'll need to work very hard," she said quietly, "but I'll do my best."
Flash spent just one morning planting his seeds perfectly in neat rows. Then he spent the rest of his days playing in the meadow, certain his natural talent would be enough. "Why work hard when you're already the best?" he told himself.
But Steady worked in her garden every single day. She watered her plants when the sun was too hot, covered them during cold nights, and carefully removed pests that might harm them. When weeds sprouted, she pulled them immediately. When her tomatoes needed support, she built little wooden stakes.
As summer approached, Flash finally visited his garden. To his shock, it was full of weeds and withered plants. His naturally perfect planting meant nothing without daily care.
When the Forest Council came to judge, Steady's garden bloomed with bright flowers, plump vegetables, and healthy green leaves. Flash's garden was barely recognizable.
"How did this happen?" Flash asked, his ears drooping with disappointment.
Steady smiled kindly. "You have wonderful talent, Flash, but gardens need constant love and attention. My hard work helped your natural gifts could have created something truly amazing if you had used them."
Flash looked at his friend's beautiful garden and understood. "Would you teach me how to work as hard as you do?"
"Of course," Steady replied. "Together, we can make the most magnificent garden the forest has ever seen."
And so they did, proving that talent and hard work make the perfect team.
